After moving ahead of the BMW R1300 RT as the best-selling tourer in the UK in February, Honda’s NT1100 has made it back-to-back months at the top.

Statistics provided by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA), show that a total of 89 units of the NT1100 were sold across the UK in March. That’s 49 more than what the NT1100 achieved in the month of February (40).

Honda and BMW have been locked in a tight battle for top spot with regards to the best-selling tourer so far this year. However, the success of the NT1100 over the last two months is pretty significant, as BMW’s R1300 RT went four months (October 2025–January 2026) without being dislodged from top spot.

The NT1100 makes use of a 1,084cc liquid-cooled parallel twin that produces 100bhp at 7,500rpm and 82Ib-ft of torque at 5,500rpm. There’s no comparison that can be made between the NT1100’s engine performance and that of the R1300 RT, which delivers 143bhp at 7,750rpm and 110Ib-ft of torque at 6,500rpm from its 1,300cc air/liquid-cooled flat twin.

What the NT1100 does have which could be proving popular with buyers, especially at a time where people are looking to save money, is a cheaper price. The standard model is priced at £12,799, while the DCT Electronic Suspension-equipped model costs £14,299. Meanwhile, the R1300 RT is currently available from £18,990.

In terms of overall sales numbers when it comes to tourers for the month of March, only 359 units were sold, which is a slight increase over March 2025’s tally of 325.

Other segments performed much better last month, with most motorcycle categories posting sales numbers north of the 1,000 mark.

Honda’s domination in the naked segment also continued in March, with 201 units of the ever-popular CB125F sold in the UK.
