Smooth lines, wrapped in a cafe racer style that uses Harley’s iconic Revolution Max motor, is what Harley-Davidson’s new RMCR concept represents.

A lot of details about the new concept are unconfirmed at this stage, such as the suspension provider. Although, we can see that Brembo brakes are used just by looking at the pictures that were shared by Harley on social media. There is also a clean-looking two-into-one Akrapovic exhaust system.

On top of that, the Motor Co. has dressed the cafe racer concept with a hefty amount of carbon-fibre parts. The front fairing around the headlight, the top of the fuel tank, and the rear bodywork are all smothered in carbon.

The front mudguard is also made using carbon-fibre, as is the bodywork around the edges of the radiator and under the rider’s seat.

Now, there’s been no confirmation whether this RMCR cafe racer concept has a future, and by that we mean whether or not it is heading for production any time soon.

Putting this model into production would take the focus away from its traditional cruisers and tourers that the company has largely built its history on. But it perhaps wouldn’t be a huge surprise, as Harley-Davidson has previously shown willingness to venture out into different segments, which it did with the electric LiveWire range in recent years, as well as the retro-looking X400.

The RMCR cafe racer is built around the brand’s Revolution Max 1250 motor, which powers the Pan America.

A social media post from Harley-Davidson said this about the new concept model:

“Inspired by the legacy of the original XLCR café racer, our designers set out to see how far they could push the Revolution Max platform. Meet RMCR. A carbon fiber concept built around the 1250cc Revolution Max motor, paired with a custom 2-into-2 exhaust and a chassis shaped with performance in mind. Every line intentional. Every detail considered.

“It's a modern interpretation of a rebellious original, and a tribute to Willie G., whose influence still guides how we design today.”
