Watch Toprak Razgatlioglu tackle The Mountain at Cadwell Park as the WorldSBK Champion and everyone's favourite stuntman treats BSB fans

Toprak Razgatlioglu - Pata Yamaha R1, BSB, Cadwell Park

Toprak Razgatlioglu got his first taste of Cadwell Park’s notorious Mountain leap over the weekend as the WorldSBK Champion treated BSB fans to a show that was one part demonstration lap, another part acrobatic display on two (and one) wheels.

The Turkish rider - together with his Pata Yamaha WorldSBK team-mate Andrea Locatelli - accepted the invite from MSVR to come and give the undulating Louth circuit a go during this weekend’s BSB Round 7.

It meant Razgatlioglu - famed for his acrobatic skills on a motorcycle - got the chance to throw some high-speed shapes over The Mountain, as well as showcase some of his famed ‘stoppies’ in front of the UK fans aboard an upgraded Yamaha R1 road bike (plus a bit of traction control).

Remarkably, Razgatlioglu was - according to Yamaha - only ten seconds or so slower than the ultimate race pace despite spending only four laps out on track, the fastest of which saw him complete the straight with a full speed wheelie.

His third attempt at a leap was his most impressive, Razgatlioglu getting some impressive air beneath both the front and rear wheel, even if he still has a little way to go to out-perform the ‘King of the Mountain’ Josh Brookes.

Narrower and more technical than possibly every other venue on the WorldSBK calendar, Razgatlioglu was suitably impressed by the challenge presented by Cadwell Park, saying he would like to return in 2023 for a full BSB round wild-card.
