Kidd's wife called him 'complete spastic'

Ex-glamour model changes plea in court after beating and insulting her husband

SAMANTHA Kidd was at Brighton Magistrates' Court yesterday where she admitted assaulting her husband Eddie Kidd four times.

The former model and actress had been charged with six counts of assault by beating during July and December last year. Mrs Kidd had initially denied the charges but changed her plea in court.

Prosecutor Suzanne Soros said, "The circumstances surrounding the assault in count three are that she called the victim a 'complete spastic'."

Eddie Kidd is a motorcycle icon after performing as a daredevil stuntman, James Bond stunt double, male model and mainstream celebrity. He was partially paralysed during a stunt at the Hells Angels' organised Bulldog Bash in 1996.

In 2011 Eddie completed the London Marathon, walking up to a mile a day using a bespoke walking frame and raising over £72,000 for charity.

Eddie was not present in court yesterday. Mrs Kidd will return to court for sentencing on August 1st.
