Last week Peter Hickman made history by winning all seven races he entered at Dundrod and he’s now in the top-five all-time winners at the County Antrim road race - beating Philip McCallen’s 1996 record of five wins in one day at a UGP meeting.

‘Hicky’ set a new record of seven wins at an Ulster Grand Prix meeting with a truly untouchable performance at a wet and treacherous Dundrod course.

On Thursday Hickman won two races and then completed a clean sweep of races he contested in on Saturday - with five P1 finishes in one day!

However, during the final Supersport race of the weekend, Hicky was challenged for the race win by Lee Johnston, and after some intense nail-biting action Hickman came out on top of the epic duel.

The results moved Hickman up to joint fourth most successful rider in Ulster GP history with 13 wins in total. First-place being held by the late Joey Dunlop (24 wins).

Peter Hickman Ulster Grand Prix stats at a glance:

  • Five P1 finishes in a day

  • Seven wins in a week

  • Fourth place for overall of wins at the UGP

  • New lap record of 136.415mph

As if these records weren’t enough to smile about, Hickman also completed a new Ulster GP lap record of 136.415mph, which is the fastest road racing lap ever. A crown Peter is familiar with as he also holds the Isle of Man TT lap record of 135.452mph set in 2018.

After his successes, Hickman told the BBC: "It feels mega - what a week it has been. The team have been phenomenal and the bike faultless,"

"I look at my Superbike and think what a lucky rider I am. I'm over the moon to win every race."

For all of the records though, it is this below that arguably justifies our argument that Hickman stands up there to be one of the greatest road racers of his generation (and beyong)
