Ducati is looking for people to help it take part in a huge 60,000-kilometre (37,000-mile) tour of Europe, culminating at the World Ducati Week even at Misano, in July later this year.
The huge tour will take in six European countries and it takes the form of a relay that will feature thirty enthusiasts, each playing a part and helping to tell the story of the journey on a dedicated social media channel. A single Multistrada V4 Rally will be used for the trip, travelling from April to the end of January from France to the UK, from Poland to Austria, Spain and Portugal before ending the journey on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
The UK will form the second stage of the trip, which will see the bike cross the channel from France to start its journey from Bournemouth in the first week of June, before completing the UK final leg at Misano Circuit for the start of the 2024 edition of World Ducati Week and handing over to riders from Poland.
It might seem like Ducati has pulled the 60,000 kilometres out of thin air, but there is actually some method behind the mammoth number. The bike boasts a very healthy 60,000 kilomtres main service interval, although with an oil service every 15,000 kilometres.
