CAL Crutchlow has been helping to build a house for a poor family in Mexico.

The British MotoGP rider and his bride Lucy Heron took time out from their honeymoon to work with the charity Homes for Hope.

Crutchlow, from Coventry, wrote on Twitter: ‘Today was a very humbling day for Lucy and I. We had the opportunity to go and build house in Mexico for a family that never had a proper home.

‘We thought after having such a special week it is just as important to give back! We loved it! Thanks Homes of Hope and @doMoreThanSport’

He also tweeted a picture of himself and Lucy posing in front of the finished house with the family it was built for.

The couple married on January 5 in La Jolla, California.

Crutchlow will return to MotoGP in March, riding for the Ducati Corse Team after switching from Monster Yamaha Tech3.
