Fabio di Giannantonio completes 2027 factory KTM MotoGP line-up
The Red Bull KTM team will have a completely new MotoGP line-up in 2027, after confirming the arrival of Fabio di Giannantonio.

After confirming Alex Marquez as the first of its two factory riders for the 850cc MotoGP era in 2027, KTM has now announced Fabio di Giannantonio as his team-mate.
The two announcements were made within two hours of each other, and while they were expected, the arrival of di Giannantonio officially brings an end to Brad Binder’s seven-year stint with the factory KTM team.
What the future holds for the South African is unclear at this stage, while all eyes will now be on the Tech3 KTM team to announce its own plans for 2027.

Guenther Steiner’s team could decide to keep one of its current riders alongside a rookie from Moto2, however, Honda’s Luca Marini has also been linked with one of the two seats, which is expected to be given to a rider with MotoGP experience.
For the Red Bull KTM team, this double announcement locks Marquez and di Giannantonio into place for the next two seasons at least.

Speaking about the arrival of di Giannantonio, Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsports Director, said:
“Fabio has clearly made a step to become one of the consistent front-running guys in MotoGP. We cannot question his speed and commitment to delivering the best performance. He is a strong team player and a good guy that we know will fit easily into our Red Bull KTM Factory Racing project. During our talks we were impressed by how passionate he is to give the maximum on track and off it, and we believe the next chapter together will be exciting and memorable. Welcome Fabio.”
With both its factory seats confirmed, KTM joins the likes of Ducati, Aprilia and Yamaha in securing their full factory line-up for 2027. Only Honda has yet to confirm its factory team for next season, although one of those seats is heading the way of 2021 MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo. This has not been confirmed officially, but we expect that to change soon.
