The 2026 Classic TT will now feature a total of six different races, as two new categories have entered the fold.

The first of those is the new Junior 600 race, which will be made up of iconic bikes from the 1990s. Some of the motorcycles that will be racing include Honda’s CBR600F, early versions of the Yamaha R6, various Suzuki GSX-R600s, and Kawasaki ZX-6R machines.

Additionally, riders competing in that class will also be eligible to qualify for the Senior Classic TT, meaning they could line up alongside bikes from the Formula One and Lightweight categories for the final race of the event.

The second new class that’s been confirmed is the Ultra Lightweight category, which will be open to 400cc supersport bikes and 125cc two-strokes. It will run alongside the Lightweight Classic TT race which features 250cc machinery.

Completing the 2026 line-up of races is the Historic Junior Classic TT and Historic Senior Classic TT, both of which were part of the schedule in 2025.

The 2026 schedule will get underway with the Historic Junior Classic TT on Monday, 24 August. The Formula 1 Classic TT will then kick off a three-race schedule on Wednesday, 26 August.

The Lightweight/Ultra Lightweight Classic TT will be up next, before the new Junior 600 race wraps up the day’s racing. On Friday, 28 August, it will be the turn of the Historic Senior Classic TT race, which will then be followed by the Senior Classic TT on the same day.

The Classic TT made its return as a standalone event in 2025 for the first time since 2019.
