UK technician wins special Harley-Davidson award
A technician from Maidstone Harley-Davidson has been crowned winner of the American company’s ‘2025 Technician of the Year’ finals for the UK and Ireland.

The Harley-Davidson ‘2025 Technician of the Year’ award for both the UK and Ireland has been won by Maidstone-based Dean Pearman.
The regional finals were open to Harley-Davidson technicians from around the UK and Ireland, and it is a competition designed to celebrate the best-performing technicians from within its dealer network.
But it was Pearson from Maidstone Harley-Davidson who was ultimately victorious after completing three individual challenges.
The three stages of competition tested each technician’s technical ability, innovation and commitment to the American brand’s service standards.

Round one saw participants tasked with an online simulator activity, which was then followed by an online knowledge test. Round 3 included an in-person skills assessment test which took place at an authorised Harley-Davidson facility.
Kolja Rebstock, Senior Vice President of Harley-Davidson’s International Markets, said this about the competition:
“This award recognises and honours the heartbeat of our dealerships: our technicians. Every day, these individuals make sure our riders’ journeys are safer and smoother. In many ways, technicians are the unsung heroes of our dealerships, and we want to recognise not just their achievements, but their spirit of continuous learning and innovation.”
Pearman is the second Brit to win a high-profile award of this nature, after Yamaha UK technician Liam Coffey was recently crowned World Champion at the Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix in Iwata, Japan.
