The Bajaj Pulsar NS 400 has arrived in Spain, and it could become the best-value bikes in the A2 segment.

The Indian motorcycle maker Bajaj now boasts a three-bike range in Spain, and its cut-price Pulsar NS 400 could be about to shake up the A2 segment.

The bike boasts a punchy 373cc engine, putting out 39 bhp and 25 lb ft of torque. It arrives in Spain fully equipped with a quickshifter, slipper clutch, 43mm USD forks, and a 174kg claimed wet weight - ready to ride. On top of that, it gains a host of riding modes, covering Road, Sport, Rain and, oddly enough, an Off-Road mode.

Quite possibly the Pulsar's most redeeming feature, though, is its price, with Spanish riders able to snap it up for the seemingly bargain basement price of €4,499 - around £3,100. Staying in Spain, that means the new Bajaj undercuts a great number of 125cc bikes, such as the €5,299 (£4,600) KTM 125 Duke, meaning riders can get A2 levels of performance for CBT money.

And you may be wondering why that matters to us, here in the UK. It matters because the European expansion of Bajaj is unlikely to end with its foray into the Spanish market. Moreover, since Bajaj seized control of KTM, it effectively has a ready-made distribution and sales network in the UK, which would just need to be co-branded to begin selling its bikes over here.
