Blind man does 166.9mph in speed record attempt

Australian Ben Felten set a new world landspeed record at the weekend when he set an average of 166.9mph on the  Lake Gairdner salt flats - nothing remarkable about that until you consider he can't see.

Felten overcame clinical blindness and hooky weather conditions to set new Guinness World Record and FIM records for the fastest speed for a motorcycle ridden blindfolded (pending ratification), with his standard Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

At the 2018 World Speed Trials, Felten and his team set an average speed of 266.685km/h over two runs, which broke the then-existing record by 1.355km/h.
