Police inform wrong family of motorcycle death
A strange tale of karma
POLICE in Canada informed the wrong family of a death in a motorcycle accident.
Paramedics and police were called to a single vehicle crash scene where they found a motorcycle rider had died. The police and a social worker went to the home of the bike's registered owner and informed the owner's partner, Melody Halls, that her other half had passed away.
Halls asked the police what time the accident had occured but told officers that she'd seen her other half, alive, six hours after the crash in which he allegedly died.
As it turns out, the motorcycle had been stolen the night before and it was the thief of the motorcycle who crashed and died.
The local police say they're reviewing the way they notify the next of kin involved in a fatality.
