When Royal Enfield pulled the covers off its 2026 range last year, much of the attention understandably centred around the arrival of the long-awaited Bullet 650 and updates to the wider line-up. But tucked away on the stand was another machine quietly drawing a crowd, the black-and-gold Shotgun 650 built in collaboration with Taiwanese custom house Rough Crafts.

Now that bike is finally going on sale, although getting hold of one could prove harder buying just any Royal Enfield, as the numbers are extremely limited.

Royal Enfield has confirmed that production of the Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts will be limited to just 100 individually numbered motorcycles worldwide, split evenly between Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and India. That means Europe receives just 25 bikes in total, with UK buyers competing alongside the rest of the region for one of the allocation.

The special edition carries a UK price of £8,150 and will be sold via Royal Enfield's online "drop" system rather than through dealers in the conventional sense. Buyers will need to register their interest between July 15 and July 27 before the European sales window opens at 7pm CET on July 27.

The bike itself takes inspiration from the one-off Caliber Royale custom created by Rough Crafts founder Winston Yeh and first shown at EICMA 2025 before making further appearances throughout Royal Enfield's 2026 launch programme. The original custom took the Shotgun's bobber proportions and stretched them further still, adding a nose fairing, black-and-gold detailing and a host of handcrafted touches.

The production version retains much of that look. Gloss Jet Black and Matt Stealth Black bodywork is offset by hand-applied gold detailing, while contrast-cut wheels, black bar-end mirrors, quilted seats and gold fork tubes distinguish it from the standard machine.

Each bike also receives numbered tank graphics, a brass Rough Crafts collaboration badge and a signed piece of artwork by Winston Yeh depicting the original Caliber Royale build.

Mechanically, little changes underneath, meaning buyers still get Royal Enfield's familiar 648cc air-and-oil-cooled parallel twin producing 46.3bhp and 38.5lb ft of torque through a six-speed gearbox. The engine has become the backbone of Royal Enfield's expanding twin-cylinder family, now powering everything from the Interceptor and Continental GT through to the new Bullet 650 unveiled as part of the firm's 2026 model offensive.

With only 25 examples heading to Europe and demand likely to outstrip supply almost instantly, this could end up being one of the rarest factory-built Royal Enfields of the modern era.
