CHAZ Davies boosted his hopes for a world superbike title with a double win in Aragon Spain, taking him to second place behind Aprilia's Sylvain Guintoli.

A fantastic wekeend for Davies, proved a disaster for Laverty who recorded a DNF in both races but still manages to hold third spot after two rounds.

Hard charging Melandri looks solid in fourth place, while Tom Sykes can't seem to maximise on his out-and-out one-lap pace that he and the ZX-10R are capable of in qualifying. Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam already look down and out in ninth and tenth respectively. Can they mount a serious challenge to the european manufacturers who are blocking out the top five?
