WE are just a few days away from the launch of what is hoped to be one of the best Isle of Man TT games in a very long time. But the makers of Ride on the Edge 3 are still tweaking, and new game modes are still coming to light.

The latest of those is a new feature that will allow players to roam some of the interconnecting roads on the Isle of Man interior totally virtually. The ‘open roads’ feature will allow you to take to selected side streets, spot the holiday rental you used on a previous visit, and even ride some of the more historic, and now unused, courses on the island.

The first of those is the Clypse course, a 10.9-mile loop that was used between 1954 and 1959. It begins at Governor’s Bridge, taking in Cronk-ny-Mona and Creg-ny-Baa. The other course unlocked for players is the St John’s, a 15-mile, 45-turn route that was originally run as it was, meaning it was dust-covered and extremely perilous.

The Isle of Man TT game, Ride on the Edge lands on 11th May and is available on PC, PlayStation4, PlayStation5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
