Crash.net is in Madrid for today's 2019 Repsol Honda MotoGP team launch, where Jorge Lorenzo will appear in team colours for the first time alongside reigning world champion Marc Marquez.

Lorenzo's arrival from Ducati creates a formidable line-up boasting eight MotoGP titles, with the retired Casey Stoner (2011) the only person other than Lorenzo and Marquez to win the premier-class championship since 2010.

However, both Marquez and Lorenzo are currently recovering from surgery.

Marquez underwent a left shoulder operation in early December to fix the dislocations he had been suffering, while Lorenzo arrives at the launch fresh from surgery for a fractured scaphoid bone in his left wrist in a training accident.

The #99 will be forced to miss the opening test of the season due to the injury, which he is sure to give an update on at the launch.

2019 is the 25th anniversary of the Repsol Honda partnership and first year since 2005 that Dani Pedrosa is not part of their rider line-up.
