Following Sunday's season-ending Valencia MotoGP, riders and teams returned to the circuit for the start of 2019 testing.
Tuesday marked the debut of Lorenzo at Repsol Honda, Zarco at KTM, Iannone at Aprilia, Petrucci at the factory Ducati team, Abraham at Reale Avintia and Morbidelli at the new Petronas Sepang Yamaha team.
The four 2019 rookies - Bagnaia (Pramac Ducati), Oliveira (Tech3), Mir (Suzuki) and Quartararo (Sepang Yamaha) - were also on track while Tito Rabat made his return from leg fractures at Silverstone and Tech3 began its new KTM era.
Testing, which concludes on Wednesday evening, ran from 10am-5pm but a damp track meant there was no action until Zarco left the pits at 11:40am, while rain arrived at 3:30pm.
