Ray, who has contested a Moto2 wildcard at Silverstone in 2015, impressed in BSB last season with two wins and three additional podiums and and made his BSB Showdown debut to finish sixth in the final riders’ standings.
Ray also caught the eye in back-to-back his Suzuka 8 Hour appearances for Suzuki and has duly been rewarded with a one-off MotoGP test chance.
Last year road racing icon Michael Dunlop was handed a Suzuki MotoGP test alongside MotoAmerica riders Toni Elias and Josh Waters.
Suzuki test rider Sylvain Guintoli, who has competed with Ray in BSB, will be on hand for the test at Sepang as part of his role with the MotoGP squad.
