French MotoGP - Free Practice (2) Results

Vinales and Yamaha lead day one of the French MotoGP at Le Mans.

Friday's action was held in the dry, but with riders pushing especially hard for a top ten place due to rain showers being forecast for Saturday.

Petrucci suffered a strange accident at the start of FP2, when he lost the front on the exit of a corner.

Miller (twice), KTM's Espargaro (twice), Crutchlow, Aprilia's Espargaro and Mir also fell, most of them at the end of the session while pushing on new soft tyres.

Rossi was last to pit for a tyre change and seemed to run out of time.

Home rookie star Quartararo, quickest in FP1, was again on form with third in FP2.

All riders except Miller (10th on combined times) set their best lap in the afternoon.
