2011 MotoGP, Moto2 & 125 entry lists

Official confirmation of the teams and riders that will contest the 2011 season

THE OFFICIAL entry for the 2011 MotoGP, Moto2 and 125cc championships have been released to whet the appetite before the season begins.

The line-up provides a confirmation of what is already known in the premier class but gives some insight to the riders that will form the grids for the lower classes.

2011 sees the return of a British rider in the top flight GP class, with Cal Crutchlow making his rookie MotoGP debut on board the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha. However, the opportunity to fly the flag runs across all three of the series.

In Moto2, Scott Redding continues in the Marc VDS outfit and joining him are Bradley Smith, who moves up to join the Tech 3 team and Scottish youngster Kev Coghlan earning a permanent ride after some sterling wild card appearances in 2010. The final 125 series sees Danny Webb remain in the class on the new Indian team entry, Mahindra. Taylor Mackenzie makes the move up to world championship racing with the little-known Harry Stafford also joining and Danny Kent takes the seat of the departing champion Marc Marquez at the Red Bull Ajo Motorsport squad.
