THE TRIUMPH Triple Challenge has gained a second chance to shine in front of the British Superbike teams and fans with a support place on the BMCRC Brands Hatch Grand Prix meeting in May. The slot means that some of the fastest young bike racers in the UK will get a chance to show their talents on the biggest race card in the country twice.
The Triumph supported Triple Challenge, for stock-engined Daytona 675 machines, was already meant to be racing at the May 10/11th meeting as part of the BMCRC event. However, with the snowed off BSB season opener being rescheduled and the top line events now taking place on this date, the organizers have invited the TTC to be part of the biggest show in British motorcycle racing.
“It’s another great opportunity for the riders in the Triumph Triple Challenge to show their speed and determination in front of the BSB crowds and teams,” said series organizer Tony Scott.
“We had already been invited onto the BSB bill for out final event at Silverstone later in the season. For us to have a chance to race on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in front of such an enthusiastic crowd will be fantastic. I know everyone on the Triumph Triple Challenge grid will be trying harder than normal to go for victory,” he added.
Before the series gets to Brands next month, it has its second round at Cadwell Park next weekend (April 26/27).
