The team is being spearheaded by Dakar veterans Oriol Mena and Joan Pedrero and the FN Speed team bringing their sizable experience to the table, while Marc Clamet brings some youthful exuberance after proving himself on the torturous Andalucía Rally.

The news comes after a busy twelve months for Rieju which has recently acquired the old GasGas platform. The company is using the Dakar as a springboard to help boost the reputation of future enduro and off-road models.

That’s not to say the bikes being ridden by the team are built in house. Quite the opposite in fact. To help speed up the development process and fast-track the team onto the starting ramp, Rieju has turned to Dakar devotees KTM, which is providing 450 Rally machines in full Dakar-spec. The machines are, as you can see, fully-branded up though, and look every inch ready to hit the fesh-fesh!
