PAUL BIRD may be one of the bigwigs in the racing scene and, of course, heir to a chicken empire but he’s no tight-arse when it comes to laying it on for his racing mates either.
Bird, who is the man in charge of PBM Kawasaki World Superbike Squad, is getting wed next week and is laying on a big helicopter to fly (among others) Chris Walker and Stuart Easton to his wedding reception on Saturday night after qualifying. The chopper will then ferry the riders back in time to get some sleep before Sunday’s races at Knockhill.
