Isle of Man TT: Over 500 marshals still needed

WITH LESS than a week to go before the first practice session for this year's TT, the Marshals Association is still looking for more volunteers to take part in the 101st running of the world's most famous road race series.

So far, nearly 950 people have expressed an interest in helping out at some point over the fortnight but organisers still need at least 504 are still required if the event is still to go ahead.

Despite the last minute mayhem, Chairman of the Marshals Association, Bill Carden, says these people won't be available for every race, so it's vital more marshals sign up.

Mr Carden has given his reassurance that action has been taken to improve safety following the triple fatality at last year's event. He says that would-be marshals should contact the organisation if they have any concerns about liability in the event of another incident.
