HERE'S the first picture of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne in Airwaves GSE Ducati colours.
Byrne, who won the British Superbike Championship in 2003, riding a Ducati 998, rode for Stobart Honda last season and will stay in British Superbikes for 2008, riding the new Ducati 1098.
Byrne's former team boss, poultry magnate Paul Bird, has quit the British Superbike paddock to compete in World Superbikes next year.
Bird was quoted as saying he was so angry with the way his 2007 riders, Byrne and Sykes, had treated him and his team, that he deliberately went to WSB to have the last laugh.
