Richard Cooper - Scraping the wall at Mallory
Check out this awesome shot of young-gun Richard Cooper grinding the wall at Mallory Park's hairpin
Team Co-Ordit Yamaha's Richard Cooper stunned the rest of the grid when he put in a flying lap in the Swan Combi 50 - Roll for Pole knockout session to put him on the front row on his debut in BSB.
Cooper, who currently lies third in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship, had been consistently fast all weekend but he went all out in the final ten minute shootout to put himself fourth on the grid.
Cooper said: "It feels strange to know I will be starting from the front row tomorrow, for me to have made it in to the final ten was fantastic. I stuck in a tyre and it was a pleasure to be out there with the top riders in the final session, despite this being my first time in the championship. I have been trying to just make adjustments that gave me the confidence to try and push harder and it worked. I am really looking forward to the races tomorrow now."
Cooper had a DNF in Race 1 but finished 5th in Race 2. Top work fella!
