Donington Park BSB - Warm-up Results

A day on from his sensational maiden Bennetts British Superbike Championship victory, Scott Redding continued as he means to go on in Sunday warm-up by topping the timesheets.

The ex-MotoGP rider pulled off a brilliant maiden BSB win on Saturday in only his fifth Superbike start with a charging ride in the first of three races at Donington Park this weekend.

With two more races to come today, Redding was once again in fine form on the Be Wiser Ducati Panigale V4 R to edge out team-mate Josh Brookes, who showed few ill-effects from his bruising high-side in race one to go second best.

Even so, both riders have work to do in race two as their best laps from race one were only good enough for seventh and eighth on the grid, Brookes ahead of Redding. Instead, Tommy Bridewell gets away from pole position ahead of Xavi Fores and Hector Barbera in an unusual front row.

Fresh from his maiden podium in race one, Fores was third quickest in warm-up, while BMW showed a strong hand with Tyco pair Christian Iddon and Keith Farmer – who start much further up the grid for race two – in fourth and fifth, while Peter Hickman was sixth best.

Tarran Mackenzie was seventh quickest, ahead of Bridewell, top Suzuki rider Luke Stapleford and Jason O’Halloran
