Keith Farmer will partner Christian Iddon at Tyco BMW for the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship.

Farmer claimed the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 title this year with the Northern Irish squad and will step up to the Superbike class ahead of the introduction of the new BMW S1000RR.

Iddon remains with Tyco BMW for a fourth consecutive BSB campaign with Michael Laverty leaving the team and the series this year.

“After an excellent first year with TAS Racing claiming the Superstock 1000 title, I’m absolutely thrilled to be given the chance to move into Superbike,” Farmer said. “It shows that Philip truly believes in me and what better way to switch into BSB - with a new BMW that has been improved greatly.

“I’m so pumped to get testing and get things rolling now for 2019. A massive thank you to Philip and all at BMW and the team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”

With the new Superbike arriving for the 2019 campaign, Iddon is hoping for a “fresh start” with the Tyco BMW squad having narrowly missed out on a BSB Showdown spot when he suffered a broken collarbone at the top six-decider at Silverstone this year.

“Obviously I'm really excited to be back with TAS Racing,” Iddon said. “The new BMW will be the fresh start we need and I'm excited to ride the new bike after hearing such great things about it.

“Both myself and the team feel we have unfinished business so we will be looking to put that right in 2019. I'm genuinely grateful for their continued support for our fourth consecutive season.”
