Josh Elliott will partner Luke Mossey at the OMG Racing Suzuki squad following the split by Gino Rea ahead of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship.

The OMG Racing squad had initially secured its two rider line-up by retaining Rea while signing up Mossey but last week it was confirmed Rea’s 2019 deal was mutually terminated.

2015 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 champion Elliott joined the OMG Racing team this season midway through the season, initially in the Superstock class and claiming the team’s first-ever win which came at Thruxton, before being promoted into BSB next to Rea for Assen and the final round at Brands Hatch.

“I’m so happy to be riding for OMG Racing in the BSB next season. This is something I’ve been working hard for and I’m very grateful to the owners and our Team Principal, Paul Curran, for giving me the opportunity,” Elliott said.

“It’s going to be ultra-competitive next year and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. I can’t wait to get back out on the OMG Racing Suzuki in Cartagena this week and the preparations are already underway to build on what we learned last season.”

“I am really happy to have Josh on board for the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season,” Paul Curran, team principal, said. “With the two rounds he did last season with no testing at all we were pleased with the results and the pace that he showed.

“With a full season and testing schedule and mentally knowing that it’s his bike for the year can only bring good things. It will be a good year for him and we can look to build and improve on his setup and performances at the end of last season.”
