Josh Brookes has taken advantage of Be Wiser Ducati team-mate Scott Redding’s early fall to top the warm-up session at Snetterton.

Scott Redding failed to top a BSB session for the first time this weekend after crashing on his first flying lap in warm-up, denying him any chance of setting a lap time in the 20-minutes session. The Be Wiser Ducati rider, who starts race one from pole position, was reported unharmed in the fall.

Brookes duly grabbed the initiative by topping the session with a best lap time of 1m 48.412s to edge out Tarran Mackenzie by just 0.035s on the McAMS Yamaha.

Tommy Bridewell repeated his qualifying result with third place in warm-up on the Oxford Racing Ducati ahead of the second McAMS Yamaha of Jason O’Halloran who bounced back from two falls suffered in qualifying.

Peter Hickman, another faller in qualifying, grabbed fifth place for Smiths Racing BMW ahead of Knockhill race one winner Danny Buchan on the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki.

Luke Mossey ended warm-up in seventh place for OMG Racing Suzuki in front of Andrew Irwin on the Honda who made his BSB debut at Snetterton last year. Bradley Ray (Buildbase Suzuki) and Josh Elliott (OMG Racing Suzuki) rounded out the top 10.
