Yamaha announces update to MT range

IT HAS been five years since Yamaha unleashed its game-changing MT range on the world.

The innovative MT-09 captured Europe’s hearts with its innovative high torque crossplane engine, eye-catching naked styling, agile handling and ‘Dark side of Japan’ philosophy. The range has gone from strength to strength since, and Yamaha’s ‘hyper naked’ range now comprises seven models, from the 158hp MT-10 SP to the learner legal MT-125. More than 175,000 MTs have been sold across Europe to date, with the 07 and 09 proving particularly popular – consistently achieving top spots in their respective segments.

For 2019, Yamaha is introducing a new ‘Ice Fluo’ colour scheme, alongside the pre-existing Yamaha Blue and Tech Black options.

The Ice Fluo scheme features a new ice-grey body colour, with contrasting fluorescent red wheels and a black engine, frame, forks and headlamp. It will be available across the range, excluding the SP models, with availability staggered from October to December.

Alongside the colour update, Yamaha has also announced the 2019 MT clothing range, featuring both riding gear and casual wear, such as textile jackets and hoodies. This will be available from December.
