Updated Yamaha X-MAX 400 revealed

YAMAHA has just revealed this updated X-MAX 400 with new styling and technical upgrades.

The maxi-scooter gets reshaped bodywork ‘inspired’ by the smaller X-MAX 300 plus LED lights front and rear.

It’s lost 5kg in weight, bringing it down to 210kg, and gained new ‘motorcycle-type’ dual-clamp forks.

The 400cc single-cylinder engine is now compliant with the latest Euro4 emission limits and the seat has been reshaped and gained coloured stitched seams.

The aluminium wheels are ‘newly designed’ according to Yamaha while the speedometer has been revised and features ‘a pair of classic analogue dials for the tachometer and speedometer’.

The under-seat storage compartment has grown, and can accommodate two full-face helmets, the firm says, while the new X-MAX 400 also comes with traction control and a keyless ignition.

The scooter comes in blue or two shades of grey and is due to arrive in showrooms this autumn.
