TRIUMPH have revealed the price of their new Street Triple and Street Triple R.
The Street Triple will be priced at £6,999 OTR while the Street Triple R will cost £7,699 OTR. These prices are up by £100 on the existing models.
Both bikes have been heavily revised, with Triumph keen to stress that these are new models and not just tweaked versions of the current bike. The new Street Triple is 6kg lighter than the outgoing model, with most of the weight saving coming from the rear of the bike, including 3.6kg from the exhaust system alone. The fuel consumption has also been improved by a claimed 30% in urban conditions and by 12% at 60mph. The new bike also features a taller first gear, introduced to make the bike easier around town.
The Street Triple will be available in the following colours: Phantom Black, Caribbean Blue and Crystal White. The Street Triple R will be available in Matt Graphite, Crystal White and Phantom Black.
Both the Street Triple and the R version are also due to have optional ABS, which will cost £350 extra.
The new bikes will be available in dealers in mid-November with the ABS version expected to be released before the end of the year.
