54 years 8 monthsSUZUKI Motorcycles Japan are to host a livestream of their 2020 model offerings as an alternative to the live unveiling they had planned.
The new bikes for 2020 were supposed to be getting shown off at the Osaka and Tokyo Motorcycle Shows which have now been cancelled.
Suzuki aren’t the only global organisation having to reshuffle plans because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Isle of Man TT, MotoGP, BSB and WSBK have all felt the pinch of the Coronavirus outbreak. Even mainstream new model launches have had to be canned as a result of tougher travel restrictions across all of Europe.
The show, to be aired on 27th March, will be focusing on the global Suzuki catalogue, so there will be some bikes not available in the UK and Europe but should still be good for a watch. With new bikes like the V-Strom 1000 and XT likely to take up much of the show's schedule.
Alongside the adventure offerings, the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer 250 SF are both likely to feature heavily in the program. While both bikes are not directly available in the EU and UK, they are huge sellers in the lucrative Asian market, shifting big numbers in the Philippines, Thailand and India.
The livestream begins on the 27th March and will be running live in the afternoon (Japan Standard Time – GMT+9) so those looking to join in will have to get up early!
