Only available via French Suzuki dealerships (boooooooo), the limited-edition bike is technically the same as the stock bike beneath the skin – meaning 150bhp and 79lb-ft of torque on offer. But race-reps aren’t all about the technical differences, they’re all about the outwardly extrovert appearance.

The bike is paying homage to SERT’s success during the 2021 FIM Endurance World Championship season, one that saw the French team seal its 16th constructor’s title. Riding the teams' instantly recognisable Suzuki GSX-R1000, Sylvain Guintoli, Xavier Simeon, and Gregg Black stormed to victory, taking the crown by more than 35-points from their nearest rivals.

Taking the race bike as its inspiration, the new SERT editions of the GSX-S wear black rims with decals and black bodywork. Full-factory decals adorn the fuel tank, radiator shrouds, and seat unit. A couple of hardware editions for the models include a tail tidy, passenger seat cowl and a small fairing on the headlight to shield the dash. You’ll even get some funky full factory tank pads to boot.

As far as we can gather the kit costs around €1,000 and is reserved, obviously – it’d look pretty crap otherwise, and can be either dealer fitted or done at home. If it were us, we’d opt for dealership fitting, otherwise, all the stickers would be wonky. The installation time is claimed to be a couple of hours – I’m pretty sure that means most of the day for me though.
