IT’S fair to say that the Kawasaki ZX-25R has been pretty big news since it was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show last year.

The screaming 250cc four-cylinder machine has been a bolt in the blue to a class of sportsbike that for some time now has been ruled by single and twin-cylinder machines.

The move back to a four-cylinder layout has captured the attention of motorcyclists the world over able to remember the high-revving, high-performance grey import bikes of the 90s. And we at Visordown are all for it!

While there is still no news as to if the bike will come to the UK – officially or otherwise – the idea of a proper performance 250cc machine is an exciting one, nonetheless.

The latest video from Kawasaki shows potential owners the many and varied ways they can go about blinging up their Team-Green pocket rocket once they have taken collection of it!

One of the most exciting parts on offer is a ZX-25R-specific titanium Yoshimura Hepta Force full system exhaust. No doubt helping to unlock some extra power from the bike’s diminutive four-pot engine – and improving the exhaust note no end to boot.

Other mods include adjustable rearsets, full carbon fibre bodywork by A-Tech, making the bike look just like the Kawasaki ZX-25R race only machine we covered a couple of weeks ago.

It's also likely that the new Ohlins suspension announced for the Ninja 400 will be a perfect fit for the ZX-25R, surely that'd make it one of the quickest of the road legal small capacity sports bikes.
