Fancy £1000 off a new Suzuki?

Suzuki's summer incentive has landed, giving owners the chance of £500 off the RRP when they take a take ride!

Fancy £1000 off a new Suzuki?

SUZUKI has launched a new summer incentive, rewarding anyone that takes a test ride on selected models with £500 off the RRP when they go on to purchase.

The offer runs in conjunction with all current campaigns, and across most of Suzuki’s on-road range.

Running from 1ST August to 9TH September, the incentive applies to both the GSX-R1000 and range-topping GSX-R1000R, the GSX-S1000F, GSX-S1000, and GSX-S750, both variants of the V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000, plus the SV650X and the new-for-2019 KATANA. The £500 off is available to cash buyers and finance customers.

The offer runs alongside the current 0% finance offer on the GSX-R1000R, and Suzuki’s 2,3,4 campaign, which allows customers to choose from either a PCP or HP deal, and then select the length of their agreement with an APR to match. If choosing a V-Strom, customers will also benefit from £500 worth of free accessories, making Suzuki’s adventure range a truly tempting proposition.

Suzuki GB head of motorcycles, Jonathan Martin, commented, “Summer’s in full swing, but for those still in the process of selecting a new bike for the season, this offer is an added sweetener alongside our current offers that make riding a new Suzuki this summer an even more tempting and viable option.”

We were lucky enough to ride the new Katana at the UK press launch earlier this year, sadly the weather was crap, but the bike wasn't. Here's a quick summary!

'Since it’s unveiling a couple of years back, the Katana has divided opinion. From it’s styling to the fact it uses the GSX-S as a base – punters will always find something to disagree about!

I must admit I wasn’t a massive fan of the original GSX1100S, I never really understood why it commanded such a loyal following. So, it’s pretty weird that I am a big fan of the new bike! I like the styling, the bike’s great fun to ride, it’s comfortable. It’s just a shame it isn’t a little more practical.

For me the new Katana sits in a strange class of bike that only really has one use – the B-road blast on a sunny weekend and not much more. The tiddly 12-litre tank means a maximum of about 120-miles between fuel stops – the lack of grab rails and luggage points also put paid to any serious distance work. For me the Katana is like retro-styled café racer with 150bhp – and what’s not to like about that?'
