MID-SIZE Chinese bike maker CFMoto have teased a video of a sporty looking 250 sportsbike via social media. Official details regarding the bike are thin on the ground although it’s fair to assume the design and basic spec will follow that of the company’s 250NK roadster.

If this is the case we should expect the bike to come in around the 160kg mark and push out about 20hp from the 250cc parallel twin.

What we do know, about the bike in the video at least, is the machine is running trick looking Brembo calipers, USD forks, the obligatory TFT dash and an Akrapovic exhaust. Whether they make it to the production version is anybody’s guess!

With the naked 250NK coming in at £3099 in the UK, the full-faired SR is likely to fall somewhere in the £3500 to £4000 bracket when/if it comes to Europe. While that does make it a fair bit cheaper then most of the other starter sportsbikes in the A2 licence pond, it is also a fair chunk less powerful than its peers – Kawasaki Ninja 400 – 45hp, CBR500R – 46hp, Yamaha R3 – 42bhp.
