GIVEN that it was only launched late last year it’s no surprise that Kawasaki’s naked Z650 isn’t getting any big mechanical or styling changes for 2018. But it does look like there will be a new all-yellow paint option and a black-and-green version.
The new colours are set to be released at the start of August in Japan. At the moment, the Japanese market 2017 Z650 is offered in the same three colour schemes sold here – white, black or titanium – with an additional lime green version that we don’t get in the UK. It’s not been confirmed which of those 2017 colour schemes are being replaced by the new ones, although it’s likely that the new black-and-green one will supersede the existing all-black model.
Given that the existing colour options for Japan are much the same as the European and UK ones, it seems logical to expect the 2018 Japanese colours will also be offered here.
