F1 World Champion, and motorcycle fanatic, Nico Rosberg is to give away his Energica Ego electric sports bike. The competition is to help raise funds for children and families suffering at the hands of COVID-19.
Not only will one lucky person win one of the fastest and best-handling electric motorcycles on the planet, but Nico will also hand the bike over to the winner in his now home-town of Monaco.
The bike in question is a heavily customised version of the electric machine, featuring one-off decals and paint, especially commissioned by Rosberg himself. The bike was handed over to him at a special ceremony in October last year. The 2016 F1 champion wasted no time in hitting the track at Paul Ricard aboard the newly updated machine.
The causes set to benefit from the competition are the RTL Wir Helfen Kindern (We Help Children) charity in Germany and also the Italian Red Cross.
The prize will include travel and accommodation for the winner and a friend to a special handover ceremony in the principality, and the shipping of the bikes back to the lucky winner’s home.
Rosberg took delivery of the machine last October, wasting no time in showing his skills on two wheels on the Paul Ricard circuit
100% of the funds raised from the competition will go to the specified charities, with no firms skimming any of the cream off the top.
