England and Saracens prop and Wales winger George North get muddy at the new Adventure Experience in south Wales

Watch: Rugby stars head off-road with Triumph

England took on Wales earlier this month, but not on the pitch. On two wheels and in the mud at the newly re-opened Triumph Adventure Experience.

There’s been a flurry of activity at the Hinckley DVSA test centre recently, Tom Hardy, Amiee Fuller and Amy Williams all completing their licences and moving on to ride Triumph machines.

And now ex-England prop, David Flatman and Wales and Lions winger, George North have added off-road riding to their repertoire at the Triumph Adventure Experience just outside Merthyr Tidfil in Wales.

The centre, formally based at a moon-like slate mine, has recently moved to a new base which includes fast, sweeping forest roads, tight and technical fire-roads and trials obstacles including stream crossings and steep assents.

After watching the video, it’s fair to say that Wales left England with a bloody nose after this contest, with Flatman even admitting that his friend, who was raised on farms and rode field bikes as a kid, was the better man on the day.
