Rossi splashes out on Ferrari 458 supercar

A CONVENIENTLY-TIMED acquisition ahead of his move to Ducati: nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi has taken delivery of a new Ferrari 458.

The mid-engined V8 supercar, which lapped Top Gear's test track almost as quickly at Ferrari's £1million Enzo special, cost the Italian a mere 195,000 euros.

Rossi's machine is 46th off the production line and bears the '46' on a special plate on the door opening panel.
