THE Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will play host to the Aprilia All-Stars event early next month, as Aprilia takes over the venue for a day.

The event will take place on 7 May, and will be free of charge to anyone attending.

Aprilia describe the event as “a day of passion, sport and endless fun for everyone,” in a press release, with events running throughout the All-Star day from 09:30 to 18:00.

Aprilia’s factory MotoGP riders - Lorenzo Savadori, Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro, who ended today’s (29 April 2022) outside of the top 10 at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez - will be attending the event, “along with great champions who have contributed to the history of motorcycling,” according to Aprilia.

One such champion of the past is Max Biaggi, who won two WorldSBK titles with Aprilia, as well as three 250cc Grand Prix championships. Biaggi, along with the aforementioned current factory MotoGP riders of the Noale brand, will be meeting fans and signing autographs throughout the day in Misano.

Also, Biaggi - as well as Savadori, Vinales and Espargaro - will be hitting the track at Misano with the RSV4 superbike, as well as the Argentinian GP-winning RS-GP MotoGP bike.

There will also be historic two-strokes from Aprilia’s past on display, with bikes such as the RSV 250 used by Biaggi to win those intermediate class Grand Prix titles in the 1990s, as well as one of Loris Capirossi’s old Grand Prix racers; the bike with which Valentino Rossi won his 125cc world title back in 1997; and Manuel Poggiali’s 250cc World Championship-winning bike of 2003.
Savadori, Vinales and Espargaro will be called upon once more to ride the Aprilia Tuono X, which Aprilia says is “the world's lightest and most powerful production naked.”

There will also be test rides available from the morning until 17:00, with the RS 660, Tuono 660, Tuareg and Tuono V4 all available for a free demo run on the roads around the Misano circuit. Those test rides will be led by professional riders unspecified by Aprilia.

Closing the All-Star day will be a parade around the Misano circuit, which will host this year’s Grand Prix of San Marino and of the Rimini Riviera, which will begin at 17:30 for those attending with their own Aprilia.

Additionally, there will be live music at the event, with Aprilia saying, “The stars of Radio DeeJay and M2O, Albertino, Vic and Vittoria Hide will entertain with their music and performances on a day that will be punctuated by a continuous series of events.”
