KTM's latest dirtbike concept

KTM’S LATEST dirtbike idea – the rear-mounted fuel tank.
The Austrian factory has filed a patent for a new motorcycle where the fuel
tank is shifted BEHIND the bike’s usual centre of gravity.

The idea, apparently, is to allow the whole bike to be slimmer and easier to
get through tight turns on the dirt.

Doesn’t sound like a good idea to us, but then we don’t know anything about
designing dirtbikes – and KTM, with their multiple world titles, pretty much
do.

It’s item 11 on the drawing, the tank is filled from item 22.
