With the extended countdown for the start of the 2021 British Superbike Championship still left with a a good seven weeks before lights out, Kawasaki’s FS-3 Racing effort has put out an appeal in an attempt to secure title backing for the season.

After Kawasaki switched allegiance from JG Speedfit backed Quattro Plant/Pr1mp from 2020, the FS-3 Racing bike has been relatively spartan on the fairings, ever since a high-profile deal with Massingberd-Mundy that stretched the entirety of ‘Team Green’ collapsed three rounds in the season.

Despite the longer than usual break through, financial strain brought about by COVID-19 have resulted in belts being tightened among potential backers. It means, as it currently as it stands, Kawasaki is the only big manufacturer (other than the internally well-funded Honda effort)  without a sponsor compared with Ducati/VisionTrack, Yamaha/McAMS, Suzuki/Buildbase and BMW/Synetiq.

The team comes in to 2021 with renewed vigour after a frustrating 2020 campaign that demonstrated good pace but punishment from costly retirements across a shortened season. Lee Jackson remains on board and will be joined by teenage sensation Rory Skinner, dominant 2020 BritishSSP title winner.

They will also make use of the new, striking Kawasaki ZX-10RR in what it hopes will be its first run at the title since 2018. As such, Kawasaki has jumped in to help drum up coverage of its sponsorship dilemma

“FS-3 Racing has a rare title sponsorship opportunity available for the 2021 season, to give one company the chance to join the team and experience the benefits that come through association with a successful and experienced team, a global manufacturer and the championship organiser.

“The sponsorship will not only see prominent exposure for the company’s brand, but also unique ways to promote their business to a new and highly engaged audience with a number of marketing activation opportunities.  Live TV coverage on Eurosport and free to air on Quest, plus a mid-week highlights show on ITV4, bring the championship, its teams and rider personalities to a large UK and global audience.

Alongside the branding platforms, the partner will also be able to experience the thrill of Superbike racing trackside at 11 events around the UK at iconic circuits including Silverstone and Brands Hatch. VIP passes and hospitality are available at every event, offering the chance to entertain existing and potential customers with exclusive access to team operations to experience the drama of the races at close hand.
