Jeremy Vine blasts hooded motorcyclist for riding on London cycle lane
The former Crimewatch presenter is a fervent advocate for cycling safety
JEREMY Vine has taken to Twitter to criticise a motorcyclist for riding along a London cycle path.
‘Good to see London’s cycle lanes used flexibly,’ the BBC 2 broadcaster wrote, sharing a video of the incident.
In the clip the helmetless man, who has his head covered with a hoodie, is seen speeding along the cycle lane on a two-stroke dirt bike.
‘Unbelievable’, says a voice in the background as the numberplate-less motorcycle rides off into the distance.

Since Vine shared the footage on January 1 it has been viewed 36,000 times, although there is no word on whether police are investigating the incident, which according to the Highway Code is against the law.
Rule 140 of the road safety rules book states: "You must not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during its times of operation. Do not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a broken white line unless it is unavoidable."
The 52-year-old is a fervent advocate for cycling safety, regularly sharing videos of near misses and motorist misdemeanours.
However, he doesn’t always obey traffic laws himself, and back in 2014 was caught cycling through Hyde Park at 16mph – more than three times the 5mph speed limit.
