First Look: FX Mountain Moto

A 57kg motorbike that looks like a mountain bike

First Look: FX Mountain Moto

HOW DOES a 125lb 125cc four-stroke mountain motorcycle sound?

This is the FX Mountain Moto - a full size trail bike, complete with internal combustion engine, that's currently under evaluation by New Zealand Special Forces.

Made in NZ, the Mountain Moto offers almost all the benefits of a full-size small-capacity trail bike but without the associated weight, meaning riders can lift the FX over hedges, fences and straight into the back of their van/car at the end of a hard day's riding.

There are no current UK importers at present, but a 2011 FX retails in the US for $4995 (£3350).

Not cheap, but looks like fun.
