MOTORCYCLE TRAILERS are a controversial subject. Some people swear by them, others are appalled.

But what if motorbike trailers looked like this? I know I’d be towing one.

This is the lovechild of BMW and The North Face, and it’s possibly even cooler than the material it’s made of.

Unveiled at CES, this trailer tent is constructed of TNF’s pioneering “Futurelight” fabric, a material that promises to be even more waterproof and breathable than Gore-Tex.

Futurelight is produced via a technique called “nanospinning”, in which holes are created in the fabric that are small enough to allow air to escape without letting water in, thus banishing the layer of moisture on the inside of your tent every morning.

Co-developed with BMW’s Designworks team, the ultra-lightweight two-wheeled camping trailer features a carbon skeleton frame wrapped in this impressive fabric, awesome airless tyres and bunkbed style sleeping arrangements – perfect for cosying down with your adventure buddy.

There’s no word on whether the trailers will even be produced, let alone if they will be motorcycle compatible. But one thing is for sure – we want one!
