Biker's wheelie attempt may have caused fatal crash

A TEENAGE motorcyclist involved in a fatal motorbike crash was probably attempting to pull a wheelie, an inquest has heard.

Connor Pullen, 17, was killed in the crash in Enderby, Leicester, while riding an uninsured and unregistered off-road bike on April 24th last year.

Barbara Swinfield-Wills, a former motorcyclist who witnessed the crash, told the inquest:

"The bike was going quite fast. As he got to the bus shelter I think he was trying to do a wheelie. He lifted his bottom off the seat and he appeared to be lifting the handles of his bike."

Pullen, from Sandhill Drive, Narborough, who had an attention deficit disorder, suffered severe chest injuries and died in the ambulance on the way to Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Coroner Donald Coutts-Wood recorded a verdict of accidental death.
